Artist Statement:
My work is fundamentally abstract, positioned at the intersection of geometry and expressionism, with a distinctive grunge-inspired, heavily textured aesthetic. I balance structured composition with raw, expressive surfaces, creating tension between control and spontaneity.
Working across painting, mixed media, digital art, and photography, I allow these disciplines to inform and influence one another. The central theme of my practice is the exploration of space — its structure, dimensions, fragmentation, and overlooked aspects.
In my paintings, I use acrylic and ink, often building layered and perforated surfaces to create depth and material presence. My photographic practice includes digital and alternative processes such as cyanotype and Van Dyke brown, alongside analogue techniques rooted in my professional background as a newspaper photographer.
Across all media, my work reflects an ongoing dialogue between structure and erosion, precision and imperfection.
