Artist Statement:
Maksym Skvortsov (born May 2, 1995, Poltava, Ukraine) is a contemporary Ukrainian artist whose work is deeply rooted in personal experience, emotional intensity, and a continuous search for identity and inner freedom. His art serves as a visual diary, chronicling vulnerability, resilience, and the complexity of human emotion.

In 2017, he participated in the national art competition "Silver Easel" in Uzhhorod, which marked a turning point in his artistic journey. Professional/Teaching Experience:
Since graduating from the Lviv National Academy of Arts, I’ve worked across multiple disciplines — from fine art to fashion collaborations. In 2018–2020, I co-founded the fashion brand Havryliv, combining painting and wearable design, resulting in two runway shows published by Vogue. I’ve participated in national art competitions such as Silver Easel, and my works are part of private collections in the USA, Canada, China, and Ukraine. I’ve also developed graphic design projects for international companies, blending art with commercial visual storytelling.

Artistic Influences:
My artistic influences are not rooted in tradition — they are born from life itself. I draw inspiration from personal struggle, urban chaos, financial scars, and moments of silence between panic and clarity. Artists like Pokras Lampas showed me how bold calligraphy can speak louder than words, while my background in monumental painting taught me to think big — both in format and meaning. My fashion collaborations taught me that canvas has no limits. I am deeply influenced by music, especially when it vibrates with emotion, and by the streets of Ukraine — raw, loud, and honest. My work is a dialogue with my inner world and the outer noise.
