Artist Statement:
Khrystyna Kozyuk is an internationally recognized contemporary artist whose work has been presented in solo museum exhibitions and acquired by corporate collections throughout the United States. Working primarily in oil, she employs a distinctive process of layering diluted pigment to construct abstract compositions defined by movement, transparency, and spatial depth.
Born in Chortkiv, Ukraine, and currently based in Sedona, Arizona, Kozyuk’s practice is informed by landscape, travel, and the emotional memory of place. Her paintings reference natural forms without direct representation, translating organic movement and atmospheric shifts into dynamic fields of color and texture.
Kozyuk began painting at an early age and pursued formal training through a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Lviv, where she engaged deeply with the region’s architectural and artistic heritage. She relocated to the United States in 2005 and established her full-time studio practice in 2012.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and included in prominent art fairs such as Spectrum Miami, SOFA Chicago, Luxembourg Art Fair, and Santa Fe Art Expo. In 2019, Kozyuk was selected for the inaugural International Artist Residency at Château d’Orquevaux in France, a formative period that helped solidify the conceptual and material direction of her current body of work. Today, her paintings are held in over 400 private and corporate collections worldwide.

Artistic Influences:
Recently, my time has been spent exploring different traditions and cultures. From the vibrant colored powders thrown during India’s Holi festival to the rich pigments seen in Native American headdresses; I create pieces that offer an abstract approach to these and other wondrous occurrences in our world.
