Artist Statement:
My photographic practice is rooted in observation — in slowing down and paying attention to spaces that are often passed through rather than truly seen. I am drawn to architecture, urban fragments, and coastal structures, not as destinations but as transitional environments where form, rhythm, and light quietly coexist.
Working primarily in black and white, I strip the image of distraction to focus on structure, geometry, and spatial balance. Repetition, leading lines, and negative space are central to my work, allowing the photograph to exist outside of a specific moment and move toward something more timeless and contemplative.
Much of my work explores the dialogue between permanence and impermanence: concrete and steel against water, sky, or human presence. Long exposures and carefully chosen vantage points soften movement while reinforcing structure, creating images that feel both grounded and meditative.
My photographs are not meant to explain a place, but to invite stillness — to offer the viewer a moment of pause, where the ordinary becomes quietly monumental through attention and framing.
