Artist Statement:
Furio Torracchi is a contemporary visual artist whose practice operates at the intersection of painting, photography, sculpture, and digital art. Rooted in a formal education in Fine and Applied Arts at London Guildhall University, Torracchi has cultivated a multidisciplinary approach that resists fixed categorization.
His work investigates hybridity — not merely as a combination of techniques, but as a conceptual framework. Through digital reduction, fragmentation, and graphic simplification, Torracchi reconfigures landscapes, figures, and everyday scenes into compositions that oscillate between realism and abstraction. Influenced by pop sensibilities and minimalist aesthetics, his visual language often emphasizes flat color planes, strong contours, and structural clarity.
Across series in painting, photography, and sculptural form, Torracchi questions how images construct meaning and how perception shifts when representation is distilled to its essential elements. His sculptural works extend this inquiry into three dimensions, translating graphic concepts into physical space.
Exhibiting internationally in Europe and the United States, Torracchi’s work engages a global audience while maintaining an introspective dialogue on memory, identity, and visual culture. Based in Munich, he continues to explore the evolving relationship between traditional fine art practices and digital processes.

Artistic Influences:
Furio Torracchi’s practice is informed by a dialogue between Pop Art, abstraction, and contemporary image culture. The graphic immediacy and bold chromatic language of artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein resonate in his structured compositions and engagement with mediated imagery.
His exploration of the tension between photographic reference and painterly transformation recalls the conceptual investigations of Gerhard Richter, particularly in questioning perception and representation. At the same time, the clarity of form and reduction of visual elements in his work share affinities with the minimalist sensibility of Ellsworth Kelly.
Torracchi’s integration of digital processes into traditional media situates his work within a broader contemporary discourse that challenges the boundaries between manual practice and technological production, reinforcing his commitment to hybridity as both method and concept and Contemporary Graphic Realism.
