Amanda Dagg

Born and raised in Wales and now based in British Columbia, Canada, I have been working as a professional artist for over 20 years. My paintings hang in private collections in more than 20 countries around the world.

Art is my lifeline. Painting gives me a way to express what words often cannot, and it continues to bring me joy, grounding, and purpose. Nature has always been my greatest inspiration — from blossom trees and birds to forests, changing seasons, and quiet moments of beauty in the landscape.

My mission is to create paintings that bring joy. I want my work to do more than decorate a wall — I hope it brings warmth, light, beauty, and feeling into a space, and creates a sense of connection for the person living with it.

My hardship has made me deeply committed to my art. So much negativity is being bombarded on us via the news and media. I want my art to bring positivity and light to people's lives. There are several people in my life without them believing in me before I could visualize myself as a professional artist. Some famous artists inspire me; Ruben, Picasso, Vincent, and Klimt are amongst my favourites.
